NEWS: PUBLIC NOTICE [ 11/06/2010 ]

UNDERTAKING INTERNATIONAL JOURNEYS BY ROAD  The Authority wishes to inform vehicle owners, motoring and general public that those who intend to use their vehicle for international journeys with or without a driver are required by law to obtain relevant documents.  These are
(i)    International Driving Permit
(ii)    International Vehicle (Fiscal) Permit
(iii)    ECOWAS Brown Card (for ECOWAS sub-region)

(i)    and (ii) can be obtained at DVLA offices in Accra, Kumasi and Bolgatanga.
(iiI) ECOWAS Brown Card can be obtained from the Insurance Company which issued your Insurance Certificate.
In all cases, the applicant must have valid Domestic Driver’s License and Insurance Certificate
(2)    Vehicle owners should apply to the Licensing Authority; and
(3)    Present the vehicle for inspection and issuance of the permit
