REVOCATION OF LICENSE

Revocation means the withdrawal, suspension or cancellation of a driver’s license.

POLICY

  • Revocation could be approved by the Director (DTTL), or Regional / Director
  • License officer, or authorized by the court.
  • Revocation could be permanent or temporal

CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR REVOCATION

  • Fake license
  • Persistence drunkenness
  • Careless / dangerous driving
  • Poor eye sight
  • Physical disability resulting from
  1. Eye defects
  2. Accident or any  other form of  sickness
  • Court orders

PROCEDURES:

  • The driver may be sent to a recognized law court or hospital for examination
  • Obtain a report (i.e. court verdict or medical report) from the law court/hospital
  • License is withdrawn and notice served to the  driver, ALL DVLA stations and the MTTU of Ghana Police Service
