REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER’S LICENSE

To replace a driver’s license, an applicant’s license must be valid.There are three (3) category under replacement of driver's license.

REPLACEMENT OF DRIVER’S LICENSE :      

  • REPLACEMENT OF OLD DRIVER’S LICENSE
  • REPLACEMENT OF LOST  DRIVERS’ LICENSE
  • REPLACEMENT OF DEFACE DAMAGED DRIVERS’ LICENSE

POLICY

  • Physical presence of applicant is required before his/her drivers’ license could be replaced.
  • Class issued should be same class as lost/defaced or damaged/old license

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Presence of the applicant
  • Police Extract(if it's a lost license)
  •  Standard identification (i.e. voter ID card, passport, drivers’ license, recognized institutional ID

PROCEDURE

  • Applicant must present the police Extract to the DVLA
  • ID cards is vetted
  • Payment of required fees made 
  • DVLA conducts search upon receipt of documents
  • Identification and interpretation of the road signs and roadway markings
  • In- traffic test (in-traffic checklist)
  • Issuance of temporal license within 3 months
  • Collection of license within 3 months
